The whole month of May is National Foster Care month. Take some time to celebrate the kids, parents, social workers, mentors, and volunteers! From the NFPA Website: The NFPA Education Conference is designed to provide high quality training for beginning and experienced foster parents, social workers, supervisors, administrators and professionals. Our Workshops are informative and offer participants the opportunity to learn new skills to help ensure permanency, safety and well being for children and families touched by foster care. 2009 NFPA Conference will be held at: (775) 789-2000 If your foster child is of Hispanic descent (or even if he or she isn't), take the time to enjoy Cinco De Mayo by going to a parade or eating dinner at a nice Mexican Restaurant. You could also make Mexican food at home in your own kitchen! Embrace other cultures! | ||
