Well, today is Mother's day and our community has a wide variety of different kinds of mothers:

• Mothers
• Foster Moms
• Adoptive Moms
• Aunts
• Grantmothers
• Sisters

They all take the role of Mom to Children of Trauma. In the Calendar we started a little thread about what folks were planning for Mother's Day.

To me, Mother's Day is more than just an excuse for flowers and chocolates and cards from Hallmark. These are all nice things, but Mother's Day to me is a way to celebrate the mother of my daughter and a way to reflect on how amazing being a parent can be. The day becomes about our family as a whole.
