My name is Adam. We are in the process of adopting 3 kids. 10 boy, 7 girl, and 5 girl. We also have another son who is 4. Our 2 oldest children have emotional issues, tantruming, fighting etc. Our 5 year old is testing the waters and our 4 year old is copying his older brother. I'm hoping to be able to get/provide support on this site. I'm excited that this site is here. Especially since it's in Drupal. Wahoo!!

:) Nothing wrong with being a Drupal groupie especially when you make your living from it.
How long have you been fostering the kids? When does it look like the parental rights will be terminated?
I have similar emotional issues with my child and as she gets older, the issues seem to be getting worse. The therapist says that this likely shows progress. For us, it seems like regression and certainly has increased chaos in our home.
The kids have been with us for 1.5 years. We are still working through the courts, but we have learned to stop stressing about that. Hopefully if all goes well the tpr will happen by the 30th of this month. Then who knows how long.
How old is your child? We've had times that we've felt like were heading backwards, but it seems to rebound. We've found when we start heading backwards that's the time we need to spend more time talking to our kids about their life before being removed. The good times and especially the bad times. You are guaranteed that they are holding it in and my kids feel better when they start to talk about it. Sometimes we'll just start talking to them about what happened with their birth parents and if they are refusing to talk then we are pretty sure that they really need to talk about it.
