Things that we use, and have for a number of years, include:
*Play Therapy once a week
*Clonidine in the evening to help sleep
*Risperdal in the evening to help with aggressive behaviors
*Concerta during the day to help with concentration in the class
The play therapy seems to help (sometimes more and sometimes less) in working through early trauma. We're going to keep going with therapy as long as it seems to help.
Our kid is hyper-vigilant and would never sleep if it weren't for the Clonidine. The Risperdal significantly reduces impulsive aggressive behaviors. Without the Concerta we would be looking at F's and detention instead of A's and B's and success in school.
