We all know what the Bad behaviors are like, and how bad they can be, but when our kids are being good, they are REALLY good. I want to hear the good stuff too.

Two days ago: my 7yo was on her bed kicking, screaming, and of course, cussing at me. (She didn't want to do her reading homework. Normally, this tantruming would go on for 10 minutes to hours and hours, but not that day.) Anyway, she is doing her thing, then looks up, and IMMEDIATELY stops what she is doing, reaches over to her night stand, and picks up her bible. She asked if she could read it for her reading homework. Relieved, and very very confused by her tantrum's sudden turnaround, I said, of course!! So she got up, walked downstairs and started reading. 5 or 10 minutes later, she puts the bible on her lap, and says, Hey Mom, you know how I was having a tantrum, and then I got my Bible and stopped? It was like God was talking to me, he said, "Nikie, calm down and listen to your Mom." so I did. Every time I think of what happened I well up with tears. I don't know what makes me cry more, the incredible faith of my child who has been through so much, or the fact that God just told her that I am her Mom!!
